Group Therapy for Singles Being single can offer many opportunities for personal growth, independence and excitement, however there are special challenges; the cultural stigma of being single, the challenge of establishing a social network, and dealing with a sense of isolation in life and from our families. As well as dealing with these issues, a group can provide comfort, support and belonging and has an energy unlike individual therapy.
The goals of this group are to:
We will be meeting weekly in a small group where members will work on their singles issues as well as other issues of concern. Periodically there will be group exercises to facilitate focusing on the vision of what you wish to create in your life and how to empower yourself to work towards that vision.

This group is recommended for singles who are interested in personal growth work and who may or may not be in individual therapy.
Donna Cotzen, M.D., board certified psychiatrist and gestalt therapist, is an experienced group leader who has also taught courses about the issues of single people.

NEW SUPERVISION GROUPS WITH KATHERINE KURTZ, LCSW. In supervision I foster the evolution of individual styles in an atmosphere of respectful exploration and use a variety of modalities to help people develop their skills. A new bi-monthly group will meet Friday mornings and a monthly group will meet Thursdays, midday. (Each group will have a maximum of four participants and meet for two hours ). Individual supervision is available by appointment.
