Admissions Information

Admission to the program is contingent on the applicant having completed at least a master's degree in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical psychology, clinical social work, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, or some equally relevant clinical field. Applicants must also have completed a clinical practicum as part of their graduate program.

Students are expected to have experienced a significant course of individual psychotherapy before completion of the program.

Application for admission requires the appropriate fee — $50 by July 31 or $75 after that date — three letters of recommendation, and an interview with a faculty member. The application process must be complete by the first weekend of training in September.

CEU Credits

GTIP is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology to offer continuing education for psychologists. GTIP maintains responsibility for the program.

This training is approved through the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Bryn Mawr GSSWSR, as a CSWE accredited school of Social Work, is a pre-approved provider of continuing education credits for Social Workers in Pennsylvania and many other states.

Tuition

The tuition for the 2007 - 2008 training year is $2,800, due by the first training weekend. Checks, payable to the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, should be sent in care of the Institute to:
