Curriculum and General Structure

The training sessions are held one weekend each month from September through May. The sessions run Friday evening, and throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Trainees are assigned readings in preparation for the focus of the weekend. Each weekend is divided into the following separate blocks:

  1. Lectures, discussions, and demonstrations of theory.

  2. Practicum. Doing and observing others doing individual psychotherapy, under faculty supervision.

  3. Experiential group therapy sessions with members of the faculty and adjunct faculty.

The specific curriculum may vary from year to year, but below is a sample of topics offered in one course of study.
